Sony’s Thoughts: Thank You, Lord, For Your Blessings on Me

I’ve been thinking again lately how blessed I am. God has brought so many people into my life that have been (and continue to be) such an encouragement to me. I’ve no idea why I’ve been blessed as I have. Many people go through life with hardly any encouragement. “Home on the Range” is a foreign place they only dream of. Some would give everything they have for a kind word or a smile and yet God always sends me the right word from the right person at the right time. I hope I never take that for granted.

I also hope I never fail to give one of those smiles or kind words to someone who desperately needs lifted up. Life is too short to be burdened down. Sure, there are stresses and trials and heartaches but, when we know we’re loved, we can bear those burdens. When we know we’re loved, we can smile in the midst of our tears. My heart goes out to those who haven’t experienced that kind of love but I pray this will be the year they begin to feel God’s love.

And, while I thank God for His blessings, let me take a minute to once again thank you for the blessing you’ve been to me. I look forward to growing with you again this year.

  1. My uncle sang this in a church meeting yesterday, and my brother and sister-in-law sang it in church this morning following “Treasures Unseen”!

    • I think the first of the year is the perfect time to reflect and thank God once again for how good He’s been. How neat that He’s reminding so many people of that.
