Sony’s Thoughts: God is Faithful

A friend and I were talking last evening about God’s faithfulness. It may not have seemed as if that were the topic since we were sharing some of the heartaches and trials we’ve experienced but, you know, without those trials, we wouldn’t see God’s faithfulness. Andrae Crouch was right when he penned, “If I’d never had a problem, I wouldn’t know that God could solve them. I wouldn’t know what faith in God would do.” It is being low that forces us to look up. It’s from the ground that my soul longs to fly. It’s the difficult times of life which God has used to make me the person I am today. God truly has been faithful.

There’s a reason God doesn’t give us lives of ease and I believe a large part of that is because, being human, we wouldn’t look to Him if He did. We would think we were quite fine without Him but then we’d miss the love, joy and peace that can only be experienced through a relationship that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Yes, God has been faithful to me and I praise Him for it!

  1. Sony, Thanks for the Post today.

    2 Timothy 2:11-13

    Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we disown Him, He will also disown us; if we are faithless, HE WILL REMAIN FAITHFUL, for He cannot disown Himself.

  2. I really needed to hear those words this morning! Thanks so much for your insight.
