Pray for Brian Walker, Steve Eaton

Southern Gospel has had two close shaves with catastrophe within the last 24 hours:

  • Via Libbi Perry Stuffle’s Facebook, their baritone singer, Bryan Walker, flipped and totaled his car on the way to the bus this morning. [EDIT, 6/18/12: Broken link removed.]┬áHe walked away with only scratches and bruises. Former Safe Harbor / Gold City tenor Chris Cooper picked him up and brought him to the bus. Libbi said that he will undoubtedly be feeling sore, and requested prayer for that. As a fellow rollover crash survivor (I was a passenger in a 2004 12-seat-van rollover), I would add: I know how hard it is (to this day!) to steel myself up for a long trip. Please pray that God would grant him peace when traveling, with all the hours he spends on the road!
  • Fellow blogger Steve Eaton, in Myrtle Beach, SC for this week’s Singing in the Sun, has been hospitalized with yet-to-be-diagnosed heart problems. He plans to continue posting on the blog, but on a reduced schedule while awaiting diagnosis and treatment.
