Randy Crawford fighting heart infection; Jordan LeFevre filling in

Randy Crawford is fighting a staph infection in the mitral valve of his heart, and facing a surgery on that valve afterwards. This will have him off the road until after a (probably) August surgery. He explained the health issues in more detail in a statement on the Crossroads blog.

Mike LeFevre’s son Jordan LeFevre has been filling in with the Kingsmen, prompting some speculation and rumors that Crawford had left the group. However, Crawford indicated in his statement that he has every intention of returning to the road once he has recovered from the heart surgery.

  1. That just sounds dangerous. Hopefully it sounds worse that it really is. Prayers for his healing and speedy recovery…

    • Totally agreed!

He said that he was feeling almost 100% – that’s a good sign that things are hopefully heading in the right direction.

  2. I will be praying for him! He is one of my favorite baritones on the road today; BTW he sounds great on the latest Kingsmen Project…

    • This lineup is the best the Kingsmen have had in a number of years, I think.

      • Completely agree 🙂

  3. Glad to hear that he is doing well, all things considered, and that he will remain with the group. I’m currently at work on a review of the new Kingsmen project and most of my comments have to do with the work he did on it. I was very impressed.

  4. We will be praying for Randy. We have watched Jordan grow up. A quality young man. Have not heard him sing though.

  5. Randy is a great singer and adds alot to the group. I hope he gets well soon and gets back out on the road. Jordan is a great fill in tho. He has a good voice like his dad.
