  1. The only way that this announcement could have been any better is if John Bowman was also just named fiddle player for the Isaacs, as well. In my opinion, the greatest period of time in the Isaacs’ history, both in the studio and on the concert stage, was the period of time when both Becky and Sonya had their husbands performing with them at each event. This was the period of time when Stand Still, He’s Taking Care Of Me, and It Is Well was introduced to Isaacs fans.

    • John is actually currently with the hottest group in Bluegrass, the Boxcars, and my impression is that, given the relative positions of both groups in their industries, it would be viewed as a step down in prestige.

      • I wouldn’t disagree there. Personally, however, I know I would rather travel, create music and minister with my wife and family, given the opportunity, rather than performing secular music with a bunch of “buddies.” Obviously it is a personal decision, though. Just saying…

      • I would, too!

I believe that the Boxcars, being in a genre where there is less pressure to work 220 dates per year, are home more.

      • Agreed. I feel like we just had this discussion a week or so ago. 🙂

  2. PS – I think you just changed fonts, and, of the recent font changes, this is definitely my favorite, for what it’s worth.

    • Yes, I did, but I’ve been trying different ones every 60 seconds for the last ten minutes. So it would be hard to say which of those was your favorite!

      • Ha! Fair enough.

      • Check back in about twenty minutes, or tomorrow morning. 🙂

  3. The Isaacs have confirmed this news on their website, http://www.theisaacs.com.
