Doyle Lawson to be honored by Tennessee State Senate

This evening, at 6:00 P.M. Eastern / 5:00 P.M. Central, the Tennessee State Senate will hold a ceremony honoring Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. This will be held on the Senate floor at the Tennessee State Capitol building, and, notably, will be streamed online (here). After a resolution honoring Lawson is read, the group will sing two songs a cappella.

  1. Great!

I got an e-mail from Doyle’s site today telling me their new CD is available for ordering. Then I looked and saw it finally came up on Crossroads’ site, to be released on 3/20. I’ve been looking for that…

    • Yes; as Doyle’s webmaster, I put it up on his site on Friday. My early favorites are the acapella track “Going on Home” and the instrumental/vocal songs “Jack of All Trades” and “Never Shall Run Dry.”

      • Can’t wait to hear it!

      • I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! I am thinking it’s been two years now since Doyle’s last Gospel release.
