Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. So I clicked on the picture and Mark Bishop had become The Ball Brothers! Wow!
Enjoyable routine. Clicked on “more”, sure enough, there was Mark. Fascinating!

    • Do you mean that you looked at one of the related videos?

      • Daniel,
Earlier today it was Mark Bishop, then just a second ago, it was one of our videos of the Ball Brothers, and after refreshing SGB, the video is back to Mark Bishop. Interesting phenomena. πŸ™‚

      • Weird! I wonder if there are cache issues. (Taylor would know what I’m talking about.) I haven’t touched the post all day.

      • Yeah, it probably is some strange cache issue, because, come to think of it, the other day, our concert review had three “Glory Train” videos. πŸ™‚ Just one of those oddities of the technical world!

      • Well, I sure hope the quirk is on YouTube’s side, and that they’re the ones serving up the wrong videos! The most puzzling part about all of this is that it seems only Southern Gospel videos are getting substituted for each other.

      • Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to be anything too serious, just slightly confusing – and it seems easily resolved by refreshing the page. Ah, IT stuff! πŸ˜› πŸ™‚

  2. We had a great concert last night with Driven Quartet. I loved their new sound with their new tenor Wesley Smith. He added excitement and energy to the group. They sand a good selection of older songs and some new songs. What I really appreciated was Jason Funderburk’s presentation of the Gospel and the altar call. I encourage other promoters keep Driven in mind.

  3. Is Naomi Sego still touring? I guess ‘Sorry I Never Knew You’ will always pop in my mind when I think of them. Great song and great group.

    • I thought she was, but I can’t find a website with current dates anywhere.

  4. I want to get this prayer request out to your audience. It is from a post on Tim Duncan’s Facebook:

    Tim Duncan
We are asking for everyone to please pray for our oldest son Breck. He had a head on collision this evening and was life flighted to Vanderbilt Trauma Center. He is currently in ICU with multiple facial fractures, fractured foot and fractured L5 vertebrae. We are now waiting to see what time he will be going to surgery. We are praying but we are also THANKING God for having his hands on him today!

    • Thanks! That looks so serious that I will highlight it by making a separate post out of it.

  5. Daniel must be working ahead. I just got a post in my Google Reader feed for Songs from Proverbs. Either that, or Daniel doesn’t know the correct order of the books in the Old Testament…

    • Yeah, I clicked the wrong button, and the post was up for about two seconds. Seriously, I’m not exaggerating. I guess it could be closer to five!

  6. NQC has a snazzy new website with improved navigation and functionality: NQConline.com

    • I thought they’d had it up for a while. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, or maybe they just now got around to sending the email out.

      • Well, that could be! We just received the email announcement today, and given it’s a site we don’t frequent too often, it was new news to us! πŸ™‚

      • OK! πŸ™‚
