Ishee leaving Palmetto State Quartet: It’s Official

It’s now official that Andrew Ishee will be leaving the Palmetto State Quartet. We had official word a few days ago that Bryan Elliott of the Anchormen was leaving the Anchormen for Palmetto State, but now we have confirmation from Kerry Beatty, Palmetto State’s group manager.

The ever-resourceful Chuck at the Southern Gospel reporter tracked Beatty down for a statement; [EDIT, 11/8/10: The link appears to be down, and has been removed.] Beatty said:

Beatty says: “It is unfortunate that PSQ is losing such a talent as Andrew. He and his wife Sheri are expecting a baby girl in April, and he wants to be home when the baby comes. … He says he has no intent on going with another group or playing solo anytime in the near future.”

3 Letters to the Editor

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. I will miss the quartet! PSQ has been a wonderful group and will surely continue. Though we will not be performing together nightly, we will always be partners in sharing God’s love and the message of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

  2. Uh…

    • Steve – even though Andrew left a few years ago, I think he’s just saying that he wishes the remainder of the PSQ members the best as they continue to share the Gospel.
