  1. Don’t know exactly how much confidence to put in them, but Daywind now lists these dates on their front web page (http://www.daywindrecords.com/)

Songs About Heaven, Blackwood Brothers – 9/4
Lifetime, Mark Trammell Quartet – 9/11
Through the Night, Perrys – 9/25
Our Most Requested Live, Greater Vision – 10/2

    • Thanks! I just updated the post with those. Several of those dates must have been nailed down within the last week or so.

      • Lot of stuff I’m excited about hearing coming up in the next couple of months.

  2. You forgot The Oak Ridge Boys’ Christmastime’s A-Comin’ from Gaither Music Group on 9/25…or maybe you didn’t….

  3. I read on Gaither.com about 2 or 3 months ago that the GVB was in the studio working on a new CD, and had some pictures of them in the studio, along with a tentative list of tracks. It said that it was due out in August. However, that story was pulled from the website shortly thereafter and I haven’t seen or heard anything else about it. What’s up with that? Are they still planning an August release?

    • It’s in the post above, listed as a 9/11 release.

      • Sorry, Daniel! I totally missed it the first time around! Thanks!

      • No problem!

  4. Karen Peck Gooch is releasing a solo CD sometime in September, but I haven’t seen an exact date for the release.

    • I’m actually not focusing on September releases here; I plan to find a lot more detail on September releases before next month.

  5. I have a cd by David Phelps titled Joy Joy by Spring Hill so I wondered if the one mentioned above is another one with the same title or a rerelease.

    • I don’t know.

      • They are the same project. Joy, Joy was originally released in 2000. It’s just a reissue. [EDIT, 2/21/13. Broken link removed.]

      • Thanks, Kyle!

  6. From what I can find online, the Collingsworth Family’s “Feels Like Christmas” album is releasing 10/2/12.

    • Thanks! I plan to include more October releases on the ~September 1 Sep/Oct post.

    • The Collingsworths’ “Feels Like Christmas” is THE MUST-HAVE CD for the upcoming season! I have heard the pre-release version, and it is, in a word… AMAZING! They should have it at NQC!

      • The orchestral sounds they achieved on this project are among the finest ever achieved on any Southern Gospel release (and perhaps the best).

      • No fair! I want one!

  7. I thought Canton Station had a CD coming in September.

    • Yes, but the date has not yet been released.

      • Daniel, I wanted to ask you about the Canton Junction CD as well. I thought it was set for a spring release, but Difference Media has already mailed out my review copy. Are they trying to get it out for NQC? Also, has the cover art been released yet?

      • I actually talked about this one in my last Saturday News Roundup. Be watching for a release in September.

      • Who did you contact for your review copy?

      • I actually didn’t contact everyone. The publicist for the Hagee organization, whose name I cannot recall, found my site (perhaps through a Google search; a news story on this site comes up #1 if you Google the group’s name, so it wouldn’t be too hard to find me! 🙂 )

      • I was actually referring to Luke.

      • Oh, okay. 🙂

  8. Ah, OK. Has the cover art been released yet?

    • I do not believe that it is publicly available anywhere.

    • Luke, they are revealing the cover on their Facebook page either by Today or Tomorrow. They have been putting it together as a puzzle throughout the week.

  9. 9/4: Canton Junction (Volumes I and II), Canton Junction

  10. Is the 9-25 release date for the Perrys cd throught the night set in stone because Daywind tends to delay their releases?

    • Actually, they hit most of their announced retail street dates. It’s just that sometimes Daywind groups (and groups from any other label) announce their availability on their table prior to the street date.
