Southern Gospel LP Swap #5

Some sites make it relatively easy to swap books and CDs. But I have yet to find something similar for Southern Gospel LPs. So I occasionally set aside a day and a post here for this.

We post the duplicates we have, and, optionally, the ones we seek. Since not all LPs have the same value, we indicate whether we would swap it for, say, 1, 2, or 3 others, rating a common LP as 1 and a rare one as 3. (If it’s worth more than 3, just sell it on eBay!)

Here are my current duplicates:

  • worth 1 – Anita Bryant – Love Lifted Me

5 Letters to the Editor

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. I’m always looking for old “live performance” recordings – either on CD or LP – for airing on our Weekend Jubilee.

I have a friend who does professional digital transfer/restoration for me, so if someone has an LP that’s in good condition … let me borrow. I’ll have it transfered and return LP along with a copy of CD.

Also need a few historic artist studio recordings like Thrasher Brothers – but only if you, Daniel, certify the contents of that recording is worth playing on the air.

  2. Hey Marlin,
I’m thinking if you can get up with McCray Dove he might be able to help you with the Thrasher Brothers music. I know when I was with the group we did a few of their songs and I believe he probably has some of the LPs. He’s a big historian too and could help you find more of that stuff. You might wanna try to contact him by Facebook.

  3. I have a few SEALED copies of Greater Vision’s 1999 Christmas LP. They only made 1,000 of them… Collector’s Limited Edition. I’m not sure if we could work out a swap (maybe, who knows…), but I’ll certainly sell them. Very rare item. Let me know if you’re interested.

    • I’D BE INTERESTED IN ONE. DANIEL IT’S OK TO GIVE HIM MY EMAIL ADDRESS!
