Saturday News Roundup #30

In the News

A couple of stories I didn’t get to earlier this week:

  • Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s new project Dream On debuted at #3 on Billboard’s overall music video charts. (It’s at #6 this week.) It also reached #1 in Southern Gospel and #4 on the CCM charts.
  • Wes and Andrea Hampton welcome boy #3, Carden Anderson Hampton.

Also Worth Reading

  • Wes Burke’s latest “Hidden Gems” feature on “More Than Just a Swear Word.”
  • Sue C. Smith notes that non-artist songwriters all too often get ignored in CD reviews. [EDIT, 2/22/13: Broken link removed.] Good point, but hopefully a complaint that can’t be made about this site’s reviews.

And congrats to the Hamptons on beautiful baby boy #3!

  2. Any chance you mean Doug, Ryan, Ernie and Tim? 😉

  3. hahaha…Sorry Tim! lol Yes that’s exactly what I meant!

  4. I agree. This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the great work the guys do. Their previous solo project Get Away Jordan also did great in the billboards chart. God bless Ernie, Tim, Doug, and Ryan, and everyone else involved for a job well done.
