Sony’s Thoughts: Two Are Better Than One

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he has not another to help him up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Too many people are trying to make it through life alone. Even if you know God, it can be lonely without Brothers and Sisters to help you along this journey we call life. For some, they are alone by choice. Maybe they think they can do it on their own or maybe they’ve been hurt so much they’ve decided not to trust anyone else. For others, they would like to not be alone but everyone they know is too busy to really take time to be the friend that they need.

If you are alone today and feeling the loneliness that comes from that, draw near to God. He can comfort you in a way that no other can. I’d also encourage you to pray that He would provide someone who can be there for you in person too.

For those of you who have people in your life to uplift and encourage you, thank God for those people and take time to let them know what a blessing they have been to you. Then ask God to show you people you know who don’t have that. Depression and suicide are rampant today, and I believe that, much of the time, it is due to people not really feeling loved or feeling like they matter. If you see someone who looks like they’re hurting or alone, take time to reach out to them and show them the love of Jesus. It may be through you that they get to know Him like never before.

God bless you all. Have a great week!
