Ray Dean Reese’s cancer in remission

Almost two years ago, in August 2011, Ray Dean Reese was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had surgery in October 2011 and has been undergoing treatment since. Reese has been informed that the cancer is in remission and that no further treatment is necessary at this time. He comments:

First of all, I would like to thank God for His healing touch. Also, I say a special thank you to friends all over the world for praying for me during this time. We always pray for God’s will to be done in our lives. I will continue to have scheduled check-ups, the next of which is scheduled for June 2013. I am fully trusting and believing that there will continue to be no signs of cancer. ย Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I go forward.

  2. It made my day to read this wonderful report about our dear friend whose spent his life serving the Lord. It brought that old song to mind, “God Delivers Again”. YES, He does! We love you, Ray. We want to hear you hitting those low notes till Jesus comes.

  3. WHO’S. Not “whose”. It’s early in the morning over here in West Tennessee. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I’m in total agreement about praising God for this great report on Ray Dean. It was my pleasure to speak with Ray recently during an interview for an upcoming Singing News cover story, and he was sounding great, feeling great. more excited than ever about the guys currently in the group, and looking forward to the future. The Kingsmen have always had a special place in my heart as one of the first groups I really got into as a pre-teen when I started truly following this music as an avid fan, and Ray Dean has been faithful and consistent from day one, always kind to me as a fan even before I started writing and established a professional relationship with the group. Without my notes in front of me to confirm I can’t say for certain, but I think he’s been with the Kingsmen 45 of the 56 years they’ve been in existence. He’s a true gentleman who deserves every good thing that comes his way, and I’m so very thankful to hear this great health news and give God the glory for it!

  5. I agree with Barbara. Ray Dean is a good guy and I’m so glad his cancer is in remission.
