2013 SouthernGospelBlog.com Awards: Best On-Stage Video: Voting

Quite a few Southern Gospel magazines and websites offer “best of” contests and awards shows. But they often cover much the same ground: Favorite artist, song, album, musician, singer at each vocal part, and the like. Let’s do something different. Let’s honor the best Southern Gospel videos—concept videos, behind-the-scenes videos (including studio videos), and live concert videos. For each category, we’ll do a nominations post and a follow-up post with a poll featuring the top nominees.

You’ve already selected the best concept video and the best behind-the-scenes video. You’ve also nominated and seconded the finalists for this final category, best on-stage single-song video, here. It’s time to vote!

[UPDATE, 1/27/2014] The results are in! Here are the final vote totals and percentages:

13 Letters to the Editor

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. Thanks Daniel for all you do. 🙂

  2. Love Devin McGlamery

  3. Love the Mark Trammell Quartet

  4. Wow! It’s been exciting seeing all the votes being cast today. Just curious…has any other category had this many people vote? Love it! 🙂 And I agree with Mary….. thanks for all you do….

    • I think the concept video category was in this same territory. There wasn’t as much interest in the behind-the-scenes video.

  5. long live the King!

    • Leonard, for the vote to count, please go up to the poll above, click the option you want, and then click the “vote” button. Thanks!

  6. Regardless of who wins, everyone should watch the tag of Something’s Happening by the Hoppers and Taranda. Those few seconds with Kim and Taranda are spine tingling!

    • I’d love it if people watched all of the nominees. We live in a competitive culture, and so I knew that to get people to pay attention, some video had to be picked as best in the end. But I think my main motive is to hopefully get readers to watch a couple of the videos they hadn’t watched yet, and maybe broaden a few horizons to more of the excellent groups in our genre.

  7. if you had a “glory bump category” I would place somethings happening and long live the king as leaders
    maybe next time

    • Different things move different people; clearly, these twelve nominees all had something special that moved a lot of people to even get nominated and seconded. 🙂

      • well said
