12 Letters to the Editor

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. This may be old news, the GVB has a TABLE (hard to believe I’m typing that) project featuring the new line up. It’s called “New Edition”

No clue about the song list, but it looks like they’re not planning on doing a retail sale of the project. So Imma have to find a date to see them!

    • Someone actually posted the song list on here a few weeks ago.

  2. Will the Old Paths new cd be a re-release of older material or is it a new cd with the current lineup?

    • The latter; sound clips here: http://crossroadsmusic.com/old-paths/decade/

      • Thanks daniel!

      • It’s really sort of a combination! It’s bringing back some of their very best songs from the past 10 years with updated tracks with the current members.

  3. Amazon lists BFA release on 4/21 not 4/25. 4/25 is a Friday.

  4. Brian Free and Assurance’s new album “Unashamed” was available for sale at their concert in PA last month. The record is excellent. “Say Amen” is certain to be a classic and is a great reminder of what we need to be thankful for.

  5. I think Triumphant Quartet announced on their Facebook that their new album would release on May 1st.

    • I went back to try and find it, but I couldn’t. I think I heard somewhere that it would release around that time at least! Haha.

  6. Southern Raised released their new album “Make a Difference” on March 15th. It is a great album! If you are not familiar with this group check out there website: http://southernraisedbluegrass.com/ you won’t be disappointed.
