SouthernGospelBlog.com’s Christmas Contest

In 2006 and 2007, I did a “Twelve Days of Christmas” series, answering the question: If I had the ability to give a Southern Gospel artist any gift out there, what would it be? Two of the most memorable were bringing Gaither back to the National Quartet Convention and sending Dallas Rogers to the Inspirations—largely because both ended up happening!

This year, rather than write that series myself, I’ll let you write it.

Over the next week (deadline: midnight EST on Friday the 18th), come up with your best entries and email them to editor@southerngospeljournal.com. The ten most creative will be selected and posted, starting Monday, December 21. And their authors will win prizes!

The grand prize winner—the author of the most creative post—will win a complete album download of their choice from www.crossroadsmusic.com.

The prizes for other winners include:

  • No Trace of Rain, Paid in Full (2009) – brand new, sealed CD
  • The Book of Books, Charles Stanley – 4-CD series
  • Keep On Singing, Blue Ridge Quartet – LP (and digitized version if desired)
  • When I Wake Up to Sleep No More, The Inspirations – LP (and digitized version if desired)
  • Sing Me a Gospel Song, The Inspirations – LP (and digitized version if desired)
  • Alleluia! A Praise Gathering for Believers, Bill & Gloria Gaither (1973) – LP (and digitized version if desired)
  • 4 God So Loved, Brian Free & Assurance (1996) – tape (and digitized version if desired)
  • Love’s Sweet Story, Poet Voices (1996) – tape (and digitized version if desired)
  • United, Talleys (1986) – tape (and digitzed version if desired)
  • …and if any group reading this would like to offer a title as a prize, the contest will expand to twelve entries.

The second prize winner gets first pick, and third prize gets second, and so forth.

Tips and legalities: Read the 2006 and 2007 posts to make sure you don’t duplicate them. You will retain the copyright to your post, including the right to use it anywhere else you like, but by submitting grant SouthernGospelBlog.com permission to post it (and leave it posted) on this site. You may submit up to three entriese.

So come up with an incredibly creative Christmas present that you would give if you could . . . and win a Christmas present, courtesy of SouthernGospelBlog.com, in real life!
