12 Days of Christmas: Day 5: Collingsworth Family

Today’s entry was submitted by Meagan W.

My Christmas wish for the Collingsworth Family would be for their next project to be produced (or at least co-produced) by Lari Goss.

The Collingsworth Family has made wonderful progress in the SG world and they are truly a delight to see in person. But regardless of that, it seems like they still need that one great thing to really push them into the forefront of gospel music. I honestly feel that a project produced by the brilliant Lari Goss could do that for them.

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. “They truly need one great thing to push them to the forefront.” They’re already great in my book. But at this point, I think it’s a matter of what they need to become popular, and I think that’s your point. Myself, I think Wayne Haun did a fantastic job with their latest, and while Lari Goss is a genius, Wayne fits them like a glove already.
