How does this look?

How does this theme look without the featured post being featured?

I will probably continue to highlight a feature story for at least a week when it’s new, but how does this look for the rest of the time? Better? Worse? About the same?

  1. Better.

    • Succinct. I love it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes one word says it all. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Perfect now… ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I love this theme’s flexibilityโ€”how I can turn this on and off if I like. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Yep…I like it now. Also like that you can add when desired.

  4. Better. The featured post being the same for a few days caused me to just pass on to another site thinking nothing new had been posted. Keep up the good work.

  5. I was just getting used to the format with the featured article!!! I think I like it looks better with the feature, even though you have to scroll down to see if there’s anything else new.

    • I think it does have a nicer, more balanced graphic design with the feature, too. Yet enough people prefer this that I’ll probably alternate, for the time being.

  6. Yeah, the scrolling down to see the new post gets old fast… I still have a good bit of open space at the top. If that could be closed up and the feature article condensed space-wise it might be okay to leave it up there long periods at a time.

  7. Is it our only choice? (LOL)
    Looks great!

    • Yeah, this time I did a yea-or-nay decision! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Looks good to me.

  9. I like you having the option of having the feature article prominent at the top. It does give it a more balanced look. I don’t mind scrolling down to get to the others. Thanks for asking!

  10. I like the idea of the feature at the top but I would only leave it up there for a week and remove it after that, unless a new one comes along.

  11. Yup … I like it better. Maybe I’ll add some of my toolbars back now! LOL Firefox can’t decide how it’s going to display them and it changes without doing anything.

I like the new plan … Feature the feature article for a week or so, and then get the news items more visible again.

  12. Much better.

  13. Could you do half? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  14. Well, since you asked….

I’m not a big fan of squared topic blocks, preferring more width to allow better marginal justification and require less up/down reading. Having truncated article titles and descriptions from post content, and the exclusion of some sort of note as to article category (either labeled or denoted by an image of some sort) only makes it stand out more.

What you have here is quite stylish, but functionally speaking…anyway. I’ll keep reading regardless!
