UPDATE (6:31 PM): Zion Music Group has issued an official press release:

Zion Music Group is saddened to report that Priscilla McGruder’s health care has changed from treatment to hospice care.  This beautiful saint of God has battled cancer for years and has been an inspiration to all of us. Now the journey leads her close to the gates of heaven which she has so passionately sung about for her entire life! As an artist and minister of the Gospel Priscilla McGruder has been acclaimed; acknowledged; awarded; appreciated; and best of all elevated to a level of acceptence experienced by very few. At this moment she is surrounded by her loving and devoted family. They have flown in from across the nation to share this special time with her.  We are all trying desperately to see this from “Heaven’s Point of View” !!  Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the McGruder family.

To those looking for survey results, (1) This was a little more urgent / timely, and (2) Give me an evening to crunch the numbers and come up with some observations. The plan is to put the survey results up tomorrow.

  1. Right now, the songs “Special” and “From Heaven’s Point of View” are even more meaningful. I will miss Priscilla if God should choose now to take her Home but I know she’s ready and I know God will provide grace for her family.

  2. Priscilla McGruder has gone on to Heaven, Carroll said that she sat up in the bed, in her weakend state, prayed an anointed prayer, layed down and passed away!

  6. I first saw the Mcgruders in jonesboro arkansas in the early 90’s, they changed gospel music with their annointed singing and when Sister Mcgruder sang no doubt heaven paid attention. Thank you McGruders for obeying the Lord and letting Him lead you so many have been touched and lives are changed by your obediance.

  7. She inspired me so much with her anointed singing,= She was truly blessed by God . I still miss her singing. You could feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost when she sang. She truly was a blessing !

  8. My husband and I have learned about The McGruders only a couple months ago, and my have we been blessed by their holy ghost filled songs and the anointing that we felt. Sure do wish we could have known and been in one of their meetings. One thing about it though, one day we’ll get to meet her and hear sing with her family again, praise God!!!
