Jacob Kitson launches Statement of Faith

Several weeks ago, I had the chance to interview Jacob Kitson about his future plans. At the time, he was planning to launch a trio with his brother Joe and sister Jenna (“The Kitsons”).  It later turned out that it wouldn’t work for Jenna to go on the road.

So, yesterday, Kitson announced that he would be starting a new male trio, Statement of Faith, with his brother Joe and newcomer Jonathan Epley.

Jacob Kitson sang with the lineup that won Tribute Quartet its Horizon Group award (though he left for Greater Vision shortly before the award was handed out). Then, the following year (last year), he won Horizon Individual himself. His brother Joe also picked up some fans during his time with the Dixie Melody Boys and the Toney Brothers.

This should be a group to watch.

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. I’ve actually heard of Jon Epley before. He was in a quintet called the Brothers in the early 2000’s, and his family is a main group on Faith Music Missions.

    • I have the Brothers cd. I knew 2 of the members of that group. It is one of my favorite cds.

      • I just picked it up last night – looking forward to hearing it. Thanks for stopping by!
