7 Letters to the Editor

Southern Gospel Journal welcomes letters to the editor. We will post the most thoughtful and insightful submissions. Ground rules: Don't attack or belittle groups or fellow posters, or advance heresies rejected by orthodox Christianity. Do keep comments positive, constructive, and on topic.
  1. They sound really good…I hope I get to catch one of their concerts soon.

  2. I almost posted this last week on Burke’s Brainwork! I thought they sounded great. I liked at 2:16 where Scoot pulled up the neck of his guitar briefly as if it was an upright bass.

    • I noticed that (and loved it), too!

    • Haha, I was wondering if anybody caught that. It was an honor to play with those legends.

      • I think everyone could tell that you were honored – and enjoying it – and that’s why we love the video so much!

  3. Ah…this must be that song Avery was complaining about as ungrammatical, “Is That Footsteps That I Hear?” For the record, I have it from several English teachers that the title actually is grammatically acceptable. “Footsteps” here can be treated as equivalent to something like “traffic.”

  4. THIS TAKES ME BACK TO A MOUNTAIN IN NC ABOUT 25-30 YEARS AGO… LOVE IT!!!
