Sneak Peek of Jubilee 2

Compliments of Scott Fowler, here’s a sneak peek of a track from Jubilee 2, set to release in just over a week at the National Quartet Convention (featuring the Booth Brothers, Greater Vision, and Legacy Five).

The song is entitled “Sing Me a Song,” and Tim Parton is featured on the piano solo.

[EDIT, 9/20/10: Jubilee 2 is now released, and so the full-song preview has been removed. Get the CD!]

  1. From what I am hearing Jubilee II will be better than the first… I really enjoyed this song and their take on it, Tim is one of the best pianists out there hands down. Thanks for sharing this Daniel! Can’t wait for the premier, I believe I will be attending the video taping in October as well.

  2. So from Nate’s comment this is just a CD release at NQC and not a DVD release?
I agree with Nate that it sounds better than the first and I thought the first was good! Can’t wait to hear it!

    • Yeah they won’t be recording the DVD until October 7th in Hendersonville, TN. The tickets are actually free, but you have to call and claim them from the Daywind office. It was first come first serve starting this morning around 8 am, so I imagine there gone by now! lol. I don’t know, though … The auditorium at TBN is pretty big. Sure wish I could go! I’m gonna miss the full premiere at NQC AND the taping! *sigh* .

  3. Sounds good to me!

  4. Awesome!!! I love it when they offer a sneak preview 😉 I heard this one and two others at Praisefest Texas last week. I CAN’T WAIT to hear the rest!!! All of the ones that I heard were sung in “choir mode”, but Gerald did say that each of the groups would have 2 songs and there is a total of 11 on the project. Oh, and the Booth Brothers are going to be singing an a cappella arrangement that Tim put together… It’s gonna be good!!!

I don’t know about you guys, but I think that was an outstanding piano turnaround! After Tim played it at the Praisefest Michael said that it was the best he’d ever heard and that you needed to hear it on the CD so you could really hear how awesome it is 😉 … It’s true! Tim really is a genius 😀 .

  5. That piano makes me drool.

    • Wow . . . another food reference! 🙂 If you ever need to go on a diet, just eat SG for a few days! 🙂

(This is all tongue in cheek, of course!)

      • With my metabolism, I don’t see that happening any time soon. 😀 But a diet of SG sounds sufficient nonetheless!

  6. I would consider getting the CD if I could hear song samples somewhere. Can’t seem to find any on any of the websites.

    • You should’ve listened when it was up! A complete song was up for, I believe, right around two full weeks! 🙂

      • Yes, I did listen to the complete song, but I wanted to hear samples of the others as well. I’d rather not buy the project until I can at least hear what the rest of it sounds like! 🙂

      • Well, I can tell you that the song you heard was par for the course. 🙂

      • So you’re saying I can’t hear samples from anything else anywhere?

      • Anything else is a fairly broad statement! There’s lots of great music out there! 😆

        (I don’t know.)

      • Yeah, yeah. Funny. 😆

Then in that case I’ll wait until there are. 😉 One full song preview is nice, but I want the full flavor.

      • NSF, it’s LEGACY FIVE. Buy it! 😆

Their Heritage albums are the ones that sold me on their group. I chanced it on Volume 3, and fell in love … I know they won’t disappoint. I ordered GV’s Christmas album, Jubilee 2, and L5’s Give the World a Smile Saturday.

OK, now that I’ve typed this out, I realize you’re talking about Jubilee 2, not the newest L5 project. 🙁 But I can’t stand to delete it – as to Jubilee 2, I hear that it’s better than Jubilee 1, and that’s enough for me!
