Tony Greene funeral arrangements announced

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Tony Greene, who passed away yesterday. Visitation will be next Monday, October 4, at the First Baptist Church in Indian Trail, NC, from 4 to 7 P.M. The funeral service will immediately follow at 7 PM. A graveside service will be next Tuesday at 1 PM at Westview Baptist Church in Boone, NC.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Tony Greene Medical Fund; however, as the massive influx of traffic today has crashed their site, no links have been posted for online donations yet. (UPDATE, 1 PM): Contributions can be sent to Tony Greene Medical Fund, PO Box 3046, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

  1. We are deeply saddened over the death of Tony. Howard went to school with their dad Everette and we always stop in Boone to visit his grandmother when we are visiting there. This was a shock and we just pray that the Lord will comfort his family at this time. I know our church (Mt. Pleasant First Baptist) will keep them in our prayers as well. Tony will be missed so very much. We loved coming to the High Country Singings at the old fair grounds and we would visit with Everette there while he was sick. We will be praying for Taranda, Belle, Josie and the entire Greene Family.

  2. In the past 2 years I’ve become a fan of southern gospel music. It has helped me grow spiritually. Tony Greene’s career has spread the word of God to the unbelievers to have their heart’s touched for salvation. And it has helped enrich the lives of the already saved. God bless his family for sharing him and his life’s work with us.

  3. Taranda and family,
